CDTM Rocking Switzerland

Zurich – here we come again. Unfortunately a lot of other things had been scheduled for May 8-10 so that we had to do without many of our experienced runners and even long-time participant Martin Huber had to withdraw in the last minute due to a serious cold.

On the upside this meant that we could gain a lot of new runners from the new class: David Bellem, Julian Riediger, Assif Daniel Sobhani, Daniel Akselrad, Max Lamers, Hauke Rapold, Philipp Nägelein and Martin Fink. Anja Staudt, Armin Engstle, Moritz Köhler and Bernhard Zeisl represented the Alumni and Julian Sussmann and Rebecca Ermecke the Center Assistants.

After running a total of 116.74 km with 2635 meter difference in altitude in the larger Zurich area, the CDTM team finished 223rd out of more 744 teams with an average time of 4:58 min/km. At the end of the day everyone was exhausted but happy and ready for the real fun part of the weekend.

Thanks to the ETH, Google and Detecon Zurich is presumeably the city with the second highest number of inhabiting Centerlings after Munich.
After the run Moritz Köhler invited all of us to a BBQ at his terrace in Zurich where we me up with Alumni like Stefan Seyboth, Jan Kupec and Denniz Dönmez.
For the after-party alumnus Matthias Keller joined us who had run the Staffette for the ETH but could not help noticing superior sports and partying performance among the Center Team.

The team is highly motivated to face the SOLA challenge again next year. And the long-time runners will have a tough time getting their routes back from the newcomers! Thanks to the Alumni Club for sponsoring the run!
